Combined Health Agencies has been United Way's health partner in the United Way/CHAD Campaign since 1974. As a federation of 24 local health charities, Combined Health Agencies is focused on making San Diego an even better place to live.
Annually, members of Combined Health Agencies touch over one million people by offering hundreds of client and community programs and services, and through public and professional education programs. In addition, in the last six years members have invested over $160 million in local medical and scientific research projects.
Combined Health Agencies supports member agencies through financial measures as well as leadership and organizational development opportunities. Along with the workshops, Combined Health Agencies organizes two events each year giving member agencies a fantastic opportunity to show their appreciation to one of their volunteers and to a local health hero. The Volunteer of the Year event is held in the fall and the Health Hero Awards are held in the spring.
Contributions can be designated to Combined Health Agencies and its member agencies through the United Way/CHAD Campaign and the Combined Federal Campaign.
